A new festive trail has come to Norwich, from now until Christmas Eve, as Castle Quarter welcomes a whole family of gingerbread characters and festive sculptures, Ginger Spice included!
Sculpture trails are our favourite and have proven to be a huge hit with families in Norwich and Norfolk, with Castle Quarter being home to five giant GoGoDiscover T.Rex sculptures this summer, helping to raise money for local charity Break.
Now it’s the turn of 10 different festive sculptures, including a Gingerbread family, to make Castle Quarter their temporary home. They arrived on Monday 14th November, and they can be spotted right up until Christmas Eve. All part of the Quarter’s sparkly festive decorations and celebrations.
The Gingerbread Family and festive sculptures will be dotted around the Quarter in secret locations, with a downloadable map available to help visitors find them all. Plus, the chance to win £100 to spend at Castle Quarter. Look out for the letter next to each sculpture, jot it down, and unscramble all 10 letters to spell out a Christmas phrase. Post completed trail maps in Santa’s post box and all correct entries will go into the free prize draw. Even better, the event is FREE to take part in.

The Gingerbread Family trail is on until 24th December, so plenty of time to pay them a visit and snap up a photo with them all.
Gemma Hyde Marketing Manager of Castle Quarter says; “We hope everyone will love spotting our sweet Gingerbread characters in the lead up to Christmas. We’re big fans of a sculpture trail in Norwich, and this one has a magical festive feel to it. Plus, there’s the bonus of being in with the chance of winning £100 to spend at Castle Quarter on whatever or wherever you like, including our newly opened independent-led street food hall and entertainment venue, Castle Social.
“Cinna-mum, Brandy Snap the Gingerbread dog, Ginger Spice and all their Christmassy pals are here until 24th December, as well as Sweet Stanley the Sleigh which creates a lovely photo opportunity, so please stop by and make our trail part of your festive plans, we’d love to see you.”
To add to the Christmas excitement at Castle Quarter, the decorations are up too, including an 8 metre tall tree adorned with 918 golden baubles and Santa’s selfie throne too.
