Big news for Norwich and Norfolk….
The Sainsbury Centre at UEA is set for a major revival after receiving an incredible £91.2 million gift from the Gatsby Foundation.
This marks one of the largest ever donations made to a UK museum and will enhance this wonderful grade II* listed architectural icon in Norwich as it approaches its 50th anniversary.
Designed by Lord Norman Foster, the gallery has become one of the UK’s most celebrated art museums since opening in 1978.
Fittingly, the refurbishment will be led by Foster + Partners, helping shape the next chapter of this much-loved local and cultural landmark 👏
