What a good idea…
To celebrate their first anniversary and to give something back during this period of uncertainty and isolation, The Orangery Tea Room at Ketteringham Hall has decided to compile a beautiful recipe book of cakes, bakes and sweet treats for charity. All proceeds from RECIPES IN MIND will be donated to Norfolk and Waveney Mind, a mental health charity that provides advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
However, they need your help too! There has been a huge surge in home-baking since the implementation of lockdown measures so they are asking all of you to submit your favourite recipe, together with a photograph of the finished product and a short message detailing why baking has helped you through the COVID-19 lockdown. The top 50 recipes will be included in the book, which will go on sale at the reopening of The Orangery Tea Room once the restrictions are sufficiently relaxed.
Recipes, photographs and messages for consideration should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with RECIPES IN MIND in the subject line.
Owner of The Orangery, Laura Butler, said: “We’re really excited about RECIPES IN MIND. In this way, we can get everyone involved in a positive effort to help our local mental health charity, who will be needed now and in the coming months more than ever.”
